Middle Earth Recreation and The LotrOnyx Files proudly present... Lotronian Drinking Games
With all the ale in-game, of course there should be Lotronian Drinking Games...and not just for Inn League Members or festival-goers at special times of the year!
Drink at your own risk (and only if you're of legal drinking level, of course)! We've seen how that can turn out. How often have you blacked out, only to "come to" in the pig pen in Budgeford, the boar fountain or "cat house" in Bree or *gasp* the basement floor of the Forsaken Inn?!
Drink-n-'scort
By now, you're all too familiar with those escort quests with some dim damsel or dude crying "save me" and "protect me" even as he or she rushes straight toward trouble or often backtracks to meander directly at it...even if there's a clear and easy path away from the dangers faced.
For every wrong turn made by the one being escorted, saved or protected...take a drink! And if he or she does an about-face, clearly confused or merely causing even more undue aggro...it's shot time!
Note: If playing this game with others, the first one to note the "about-face," shouts out and chooses which player has to slam a shot of ale.
To make it real interesting, try a number of escort quests in a row. Maybe then, it'll make sense why Sara Oakheart, Lalia and the others are so confused that they turn in circles. They've been playing Drink-n-'scort the whole time!
You died on a quest? You drink.
Everyone dies on a quest? The whole fellowship drinks!
Broke a mez? Looks like you're drinking again!
The minstrel failed to keep himself / herself alive? Minstrel drinks... 1 x the number of other fellowship members at time of death
Fell off your horse? Everyone using the /follow command behind you...drinks!
Defeated a "signature" or elite boss mob? Everyone slams a shot in celebration!
Someone in stealth mode with a burglar got too far away that stealth was broken? They both drink!
A hardcore barks orders impatiently as if the rest of fellow is all hardcore enough to know instinctively all the tricks to every skill, secrets to every quest and all the freakishly geeky gaming things they know about everything, including the other skill classes they aren't playing at the moment! The hardcore drinks...he or she obviously needs it! =p (You might not want to be the one to mention that, though.)
A Captain's Herald or Lore-Master's Pet Draws Aggro Due to Bad Pathing or Aggressive Modes instead of Passive? All Captains and Lore-Masters in the fellow...take a drink!
Lose out on a roll for something you stated ahead of time that your class/character really needs... no one else in the fellow does, and yet...the winner whose neither the right class or profession for the item refuses to acknowledge your request and/or outright refuses to offer it to you? Anyone in the fellowship willing to stand up / speak up for common courtesy and what only seems "right" to you... drink in your own honor!
Showed up more than 5 minutes late for a scheduled quest? Drink! More than 15 minutes?...You're slamming a shot... but make sure it's a really awful one that will remind you not to do that again! =p
Someone leading the way to quest area, got lost or horribly off-track? Everyone following...take a drink! If the leader did this on purpose...everyone else drink twices for falling for it!
But again, please don't drink and quest. This public service message has been brought to you by MSADD. Midgewater Sappers Against Drunken Dungeoning. MSADD does not condone or approve the above games or the message they send, primarily because they themselves are all under level 21 and are forbidden from participation.
