 Public Service Announcement:

*Work*

is a griefer!!!

8 hours per day/40 hours per week…work griefs me.

Even worse, in order to grief me that much, I figured out work must be a “macro” program…a machine, a robot, a mechanized, computerized process not requiring more than the push of a button to start the griefing! *panicked sigh*

Work has way too many expectations and pressures…

It expects me to *gasp* work! The nerve! The horror! The absolute tyranny! Who does Work think it is…my boss?! =p

It expects me to show up…and right when my quest “start” timer is due, too, not a minute later. The impatience! The haste!

And occasionally, it expects me to sit thru meetings…without providing donuts or lunch for stamina regeneration. How can I work without stamina rations and endurance boosters?!

Sometimes, it even expects manual labor, but how was I to know I should’ve pumped more experience into strength & endurance?!

Sometimes, work even thinks you should put in overtime. Like I have nothing better to do?! Like they’d really allow you to UWM (Unattended Work Macro). AWM (attended), sure, you can fool them, but UWM…haven’t quite figured out how to slide that past the founders yet. ;)

My boss sends 3 or 4 spam interoffice emails to all employees every day. Doesn’t he/she know that they could be banned or punished for continual spamming like that? Or at least get themselves squelched or their emails ignored…even the ones of importance? =p

They monitor internet usage and even filter sites. Who does this *Work* think it is… “big brother”?! A wannabe Rottweiler who hasn’t eaten in four days that just saw that slice of raw meat dangling before him/her?   My boss?!

While working…I even get these silly emails and messages  with no content except to add something to my “tasks” list. How dare *Work* presume I want it to tell me what to do!

I tried squelching *Work* or filtering those messages out…but, ironically, it didn’t work. *disgruntled sigh*

I reported *Work* for harassment and griefing, but it took them a half-hour to answer my report. Then, I was told I imagining things, and added that *Work* has “VIP” privileges and that it’s not violating any rules. Pfft!

Then, *Work* tried to lick my ear. =p Ewww, how disgusting is that?!

They keep asking me to file things, but the sturdy steel chests are nearly full and I have no mules at work to put stuff on. (I tried, but they must’ve thought mules were animals, because they told me no pets were allowed in the dungeon.)

They won’t even give me a free coffee for good attendance. Instead, they just give me this silly thanking stone-shaped plaque…and even that is more like a pat on the back or worse…more work to do!

*Work* has too many quest timers to keep track of, and many are too short with only minimal rewards, but great penalty for non-completion.

When surrounded by *Work* and its associates all in fellowship together…there’s no escape to the griefing! *look of utter despair*

The penalties of upset boss syndromes are so horrendous at times that the safest thing to do is to hide in a bathroom stall, seat down, curled up in the fetal position and wait it out! (Okay, so it’s a slight exaggeration…)

Work’s associates sometimes get credit for another task “killed”/completed…and yet I did all the work! No fair!

Title quest for “promotion”? Don’t let it fool you…only leads to more griefing…more work. =p

“Employee of the Month” quest only makes *Work* notice you more…be anonymous, strive to be average.

In all that griefing *Work* does, I also found out that if you’re the one to complete the project report, it makes you do more project “walk thrus.” Gah!

Everyone wants to be the quest leader (er, boss)…but no one wants to follow or listen. Noooo, never. They all just wanna carry their own flags. Heh, how an annoying would an office of nothing but flag squad members be?!

If you “own” in business…work steals the credit AND…claims the global announcement. Pffft. See, I knew this *Work* thing was nothing but trouble and bad news!

Just when you think you’re getting somewhere and accomplishing something, work sends you back to start again and makes you re-do the whole project quest…only differently this time. Heh, always wanting to improve things and cut corners, even if the last route worked just fine.

*Work* puts you on the bottom of the experience chain..and doesn’t even provide the armor, weaponry or tools necessary for the job. Heh, they don’t even tell you that you should train lockpick so you wouldn’t need that silly little security code or badge to get in the door every day.

I say…enough with this griefing! It’s got to end! *Work* should not be allowed to continue to grief us like this anymore. Lets form a fellowship and show it we mean business. =p Just say NO to *Work*!

Oh, and don’t forget to say no to its other aliases, too:

*Job*

*Mandatory OT*

*Underling*

*Get Er Done*

*Stay Late*

*Trainee*

Known associates of *Work* to watch out for, and yes, they should be considered guilty by association:

Client

Co-Worker

Vendor

Human Resources (who may go by the name HR)
