Getting Taken...to the Cleaners

The tricky business of marketing a product or service

often makes you wonder.

Sure, the below may just be a volume discount for your dry cleaning,

but what else or more could there be...?

8-piece dry cleaning?! Does that come with or without an 8-piece bucket of chicken, too?

Do I use the honey mustard sauce on the chicken before or after I give you the 8 pieces of dry cleaning? And should I be wearing my 8 pieces if it's "before"?

Those "8 pieces"....does that include 8 pairs of dirty undies, and if so...can you keep from airing out my dirty laundry to your other clients?

...but, but, but...I have 3 suits and they're all 3-piece suits!

When I order my dry cleaning, do I need to choose between original and extra-crispy styles? And is there an extra charge if my clothes are all dark or all light as opposed to mixed?

Was it just my twisted mind,

or did that sandwich board ad make you hungry

for a chicken dinner, too?

(For those of you scratching your heads in wonder as to where this train of thought came from...

I guess, like me, you'd have to be familiar with those family-style chicken dinner deals and a certain well known chain that always advertised family-style meals, such as an 8-piece or 12-piece chicken bucket dinner deal available in a number of different styles, including light meat, dark meat or a mixture. And being that these were value meals, all meals included your choice of vegetable and other side-order options.)
