Scare-ipes*: *(pronounced: skair-ip-eez)
Want to make your own horror film this Halloween...or any other time of the year? Afraid you can't come up with a horror story of your own? Fear no more!
Our Scare-ipes are the recipes of horror for you! No more worrying about silly things like plot, attire, set location or how many clueless blondes to put in wet white t-shirts on nights even the blondest of blondes wouldn't be caught dead in them! (Then again, they're caught dead in them often enough...at least in the horror movies.)
Below, we'll prove that anyone can make a horror movie. You don't have to be a pro, an amateur or even a weird guy that's not just happy to see a blonde in a wet t-shirt (it really is just a camera in your pocket =p).
There's just one catch: Your movie mixes and matches different pieces or elements from a wide range of horror films.
Well, that's your Scare-ipe recipe for a horror movie. Now, it's up to you to piece those elements together and somehow make them all work......and......to come up with the rest of the movie, including an ending that opens your movie up to countless possibilities for limitless horrifying sequels! It may be a bizarre tale you'll tell, but the best horror films are often the most unusual! (And this could certainly be unusual to say the least, even with all of the clichés mixed into the recipe!)
If one Scare-ipe is not enough for you, simply refresh page to see another.
*** Important note*** It is best if the era of your scare scenario is before the emergence of cell phones or there are no characters who own cell phones... unless they forgot to charge cellular batteries.
**Earnote: "Tried and true" will not make you an original, but will practically guarantee success as these recipes...albeit not in our mixed up format...have worked for many a horror film-maker before. The Scare-ipe recipes are not based on actual events, situations, towns, people, places, things, thoughts, misdeeds, deeds, gong shows, talk shows, bowling pins, 3-hour tours or even any letters formed together to make real sentences and even more real words. Please remember the Scare-ipe recipes are intended for horrifying, terrorizing, frightful amusement only. Please don't win yourself a Darwin Award by actually trying any of this, with professionals, amateurs, friends, enemies, vampires, goblins, ghouls, blondes, brunettes, redheads, those balding, sporting mohawks, crew cuts, bad hygiene or mullets. In other words, these Scare-ipes are intended for humor and amusement only.
